New Breastfeeding DVD launches to support health professionals to increase breastfeeding rates

In a nutshell:

A DVD designed to encourage and support pregnant women and new mothers to breastfeed has been released. The DVD, entitled ‘From Bump to Breastfeeding: following real mothers’ stories to find out how,’ was co-funded by the Department of Health England, the Welsh Assembly, NHS Health Scotland, the Health Promotion Agency for Northern Ireland and the Tedworth Charitable Trust and aims to assist health professionals to provide all pregnant women with information about the benefits and management of breastfeeding.  It will therefore support hospitals to implement Step Three of the UNICEF Baby Friendly Initiative standards and so gain Baby Friendly accreditation. The DVD is available in six languages and free to all women in the UK.
